LIFE ACADEMY CHILD CARE FOUNDATION & AGED OUT FOSTER CARE TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PROGRAM

Life Academy Child Care Foundation (LACCF) was organized in Seattle, Washington in the seventh month of 2020. Our Foundation provides quality child care by nurturing licensed professional staff and educators. Let me explain the two-fold vision, which will educate and provide resources for not only the participants, but for the community.

The aged-out foster youths with small children can have a child care facility within the facility. By having a child care program on-site, it will reduce some levels of parental stress that comes with transporting their child(ren) to and from school before heading to work, school or searching for employment during the day, which will be one of the primary requirements to remain in the program. The participants will not have worries of picking up their child and then heading home, especially if they depend on public transportation

So many of our youth are mostly subjected to horrific situations just to survive. Once the youth becomes eighteen years of age, the governmental/federal funding ends, leaving the eighteen year old child with nowhere to go, in most cases. This is why LACCF gave birth to a passion to help those who need a helping hand, nurturing mentors and the hope that their situation improves while in our Transitional Housing Program.

Our eighteen, 24 hour staffed, month program, if successful during the program and, after completion, their success will lead to Phase 2. Phase 2 provides housing with minimum monitoring and monthly mandatory inspections and follow ups will be required. The end goal is for the participants to successfully transition into their communities smoothly with employable skills from community partnerships.
Our vision
Our primary objective is to work towards creating a significant and enduring impact that will bring about positive changes in the lives of children and their families. We are committed to making a meaningful difference that will last for a long time and contribute towards their overall well-being.

Our mission
Our primary objective at LACCF is to establish a healthy, safe, and nurturing environment that encourages academic growth and development. In addition to our core curriculum that emphasizes reading and math, we also introduce students to STEM concepts through our Teaching Strategies program. Our aim is to provide a well-rounded education that prepares students for success in all areas of life.
